The atmospheric Andalucian hill village of La Perla De La Heredia. Although a quite modern urbinization, La Heredia feels like an authentic “pueblo”. Each house is unique and everywhere you look there are exquisite details; winding, cobbled streets, fountains, antique wooden front doors and shady squares in which to sit and take in the panoramic sea views. In the 19th Century, a local iron miner, Don Manuel Agustin Heredia, bought a piece of land dominated by the striking shell-shaped mountain, La Concha, for timber. One of his descendants began to build the village that is now La Perla de la Heredia. In 1994, it was awarded the International Property Magazine prize for the best Spanish development. It has been designed as a typical Andalucian hilltop village, down to the cobbled streets.
